Sugar Cycle

Sugar Cycle is a circular economy initiative that transforms sugarcane bagasse into biodegradable decorative and utility products while creating green livelihoods for climate-migrant women. Through community-based production, it equips women with crafting skills to produce and sell eco-friendly products, promoting economic empowerment and environmental sustainability. The initiative has collaborated with BYLC, UNICEF, JAAGO Foundation, the Netherlands Embassy, The Earth, The Asia Foundation, ActionAid, and Crowne Plaza Gulshan. Sugar Cycle has participated in five national exhibitions, won four national funding competitions, including BYLC LIA Scale-up Funding, and been a finalist in multiple innovation challenges, demonstrating strong impact and market potential.
